Product Description

Acoustical Treatment: Try Before You Buy!

A low risk way to get to know our panels. Each sample pack includes a rebate equal to the cost of the sample, which you may use on your first panel order. Our panels are an  acoustical treatment suited for home, office, commercial, and institutional applications!

Each fabric panel sample kit contains: a 1' x 1' x 2" acoustic panel sample, panel clip and hardware sample, standard fabric samples, and information to help you decide if our panels are the right solution for your acoustic problems.

When you last spent time in a large space, such as an auditorium, function hall, cafeteria, gym, airport, temple or church, Acoustical Treatment played a large role in your experience there. (Especially true if you didn't notice the sound quality!) Were you able to enjoy the speaker or the music without annoying echoes? Was the noise of the crowd minimized so that the sound didn’t creep into painful decibel levels? If not, the acoustic problem was a result of inadequate or improper acoustical treatment. Similar issues affect smaller, more contained spaces such as offices, home theaters, training studios, and conference rooms.

Evaluate your needs for an acoustical treatment, or let us help advise you with a free room analysis. Start by considering the following environmental or spacial characteristics of the space you wish to treat:

  • The size of the room: how much surface area is in play - measure the height, width and length of the room's walls
  • The shape of the room: is the room a standard shape or oddly shaped? A square room is most likely to cause an acoustic problem because the sound waves will bounce back at themselves.
  • What the room is made of: does the space contain windows, hardwood floors, and other hard, flat, and bare surfaces that will cause sound waves to bounce and echo?
  • The room’s intended use: why are acoustics important in this space? Is it a listening room, conference room, home theater, recording studio, cafeteria, etc.? Every room requires a personalized approach to acoustic treatment.
  • Room layout and décor: of the total surface area, where would you consider placing acoustical treatments? Consider practical limitations such as door openings, window placement, posts, leather seating, and etc.

Audimute wants to help you find a practical, effective and affordable solution to your acoustic challenges. Audimute’s Acoustic Panels treat echoes by absorbing the sound waves rather than allowing them to reflect off hard surfaces. The 2" thick panels are particularly effective at absorbing mid- and high frequency sound waves. The 4" panels (bass traps) are typically placed in corners and will help absorb many of the lower frequency sound waves.

One mistake people often make when creating an acoustical treatment is over-treating. The overuse of highly absorptive materials will skew proper sound, causing low frequencies to become too prominent and actually causing a new acoustical problem.

The sample pack I ordered was delivered in two days, and had many more colors and textures than I thought it would! As my wife and I finish our basement home theater, we'll be able to see what material/color looks best to us and purchase our acoustic panels to match our decor.
